Upcoming 2010 Slate of Programs
CREW Atlanta’s Programs Committee is busy finalizing an interesting and informative slate of programs for the remainder of 2010. After taking a break in July and August, monthly programs will resume beginning in September and continue to the end of the year. We wanted to share our plans with you.
Our September program will have an international focus and will cover topics related to the European Union’s financial woes, including the Greek economic crisis, and how the weakening Euro is impacting not only European countries but also investment in Atlanta. Our economy is becoming increasingly global and events occurring in other parts of the world can have a direct impact upon our lives here.
Our focus in October will be on Distressed Properties and Receivership. The program will include a discussion of what is involved in dealing with a distressed property and the ultimate appointment of a receiver, but it will also focus on the parties involved in this process and the services and support the involved parties may require. This discussion will both inform and assist CREW members to identify potential business opportunities.
Future topics for the November and December programs include a joint meeting with Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District and a discussion of why it is important for a community to think strategically about its support of the cultural arts. We look forward to seeing you at these enlightening discussions! |
