Behind the Scenes: Atlanta's Old 4th Ward is on the Verge of a Fantastic Transformation!

With the leadership of Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall, the Atlanta Department of Planning and Community Development will partner with Old Fourth Ward residents, businesses and stakeholders to create an Old Fourth Ward Master Plan to guide the neighborhood’s future, a future which is already here.
Major development projects are in the works all across the Old Fourth Ward. Now is the optimal time to create a vision, a framework, a plan; to steer this growth and development, to leverage the neighborhoods inherent strengths, and to make the Old Fourth Ward a truly great neighborhood within a truly great city.
Please join your fellow CREW members March 24th for a Behind the Scenes look at Atlanta’s culturally diverse district rich in history -the Old 4th Ward . Look at the developing neighborhoods, retail and restaurants businesses such as Studioplex, Café Circa, Danneman’s Coffee, Serpas, Jack Art Gallery along with many others that we will be touring within 3 blocks of one another.

CREW Atlanta's Public Policy Initiative Program 'It Takes a Region'
April Lunch Program -In Partnership with The Livable Communities Coalition & The Council for Quality Growth
Join us as The Atlanta Regional Commissions’ dynamic new Chairman Mr. Tad Leithead, gives us an overview of the key issues facing our region. Mr. Leithead will share his knowledge and insights on specific issues such land use, transportation and legislation that will impact sustainable growth in Atlanta. ARC serves 10 counties and 68 cities and is dedicated to unifying the region’s collective resources to prepare the metropolitan Atlanta area for a prosperous future.

Tad Leithead, Chairman of the Atlanta Regional Commission
Mr. Leithead served on the ARC board for 9 years, representing the citizen district that includes portions of Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and Atlanta, prior to being elected chairman. For the last three years, he has served as chair of ARC’s Transportation and Air Quality Committee. He is the first citizen member to serve as ARC chair in the organization’s history. Prior to forming his own governmental relations and consulting firm earlier this year, Leithead spent more than 23 years in commercial real estate in metro Atlanta, most recently as senior vice president for Cousins Properties.
